There is only one true painter--Diego Velasquez. I try hard to be him but alas I become GARDEGA which is not that bad. A true painter looks to Velasquez not to Cezanne or Sargent or some such watered down swill. Dali worshiped at the altar of Velasquez, I worshiped at Dali's altar and so on...this is a small study of Apollo from "appollo at the forge of Vulcan" by V. I will miss this oil study very much.
