truisms

There is one truism I have found to ring true time and time again--- That is the idea that no good deed goes unpunished. If you would like to test this maxim I simply recommend helping out a few people or friends--get them jobs--find them a career--hook them up with your contacts...etc etc..it is strange how quickly your good deed gets not only forgotten but how it will turn against you in the end. I am not saying that one should stop doing good things for other people, I just find find human nature endlessly interesting. I think the human brain carries a built in resentment mechanism that is triggered by certain acts of goodness. Human nature is not stranger than you think, it is stranger than you can think...
